On 3rd July David performed as a guest soloist with the Cory Band under Owain Arwel Hughes CBE in a concert opening the 70th Llangollen International Eisteddfod. David played a number of highly entertaining solo items to a large and appreciative audience. He was also pleased to share the stage with his old band once again, having previously played solo euphonium with the Cory Band for many years. He commented:
“The invitation to perform alongside Cory under the baton of Owain Arwel Hughes CBE is a great way to link with the band again — especially as we played together at the event in 2010."
