David has just returned from Spain where he was recording the Wind Band version of Johan DeMeij's UFO Concerto with La Banda de Lalin conducted by Bram Sniekers, in addition to giving a concert performance of the work representing its Spanish premiere.

David commented, "Johan's has made several welcome alterations to the score since the brass band recording making this a genuine premiere recording in its new form!"

During an afternoon session on December 28th David recorded the Concerto. The following day  he also recorded two of Johan's new arrangements: Puccini's beautiful aria 'Senza Mamma' from 'Suor Angelica', and David Popper's cello showpiece 'Elfentanz'.

On his final day day in Spain (December 30th, David's Wedding Anniversary!) he performed both the UFO Concerto and Popper's Elfentanz in concert with La Banda de Lalin. Bram Sniekers conducted the Concerto and Johan De Meij conducted the encore Elfentanz.
