On 27th September 2014 David gave the world premiere performance of Stephen Roberts' Euphonium Concerto with the Trinity Concert Concert Band at Reading University's Great Hall.
The concert also featured music by Frank Ticheli, Peter Graham and Vaughan Williams. It was however the performance of Stephen Roberts' Euphonium Concerto which drew the plaudits, not least from the composer himself who commented,"Brilliant performance - thank you. Your playing is wonderful, such fluency, amazing range and musicality. Bravo - You make it sound easy!!"
