From August 10th-16th 2014 David Childs will be in Framlingham England for the 30th Brass Band Summer School.

Summer School delegates will have the opportunity to receive one to one tuition with experts in their field, take part in warm-up classes, sectional rehearsals, ensemble coaching, solo coaching with piano, a variety of public performance opportunities, and see the tutorial staff perform recitals throughout the week. The Brass Band Summer School is the oldest of its kind and this year celebrates its 30th Anniversary. Presidents of the Summer School have included the legendary Harry Mortimer, Philip Jones, Roy Newsome, and now Principal Conductor of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Bramwell Tovey. The Brass Band Summer School has a rich history and tradition which can be explored by visising the BBSS website.
