On Saturday November 6th David will be giving a Masterclass at the University of Toronto from 10.30am to 12.30pm in the Faculty of Music'92s Walter Hall. Later that evening he'92ll also be performing in concert with the Hannaford Street Silver Band as part of the Barrie Concert Series in Ontario.



However the main event takes place on Sunday 7th when Toronto'92s award-winning Hannaford Street Silver Band presents an afternoon of Childs'92 play of the extraordinary kind! David Childs, a Brass Master and one of the world'92s leading euphonium virtuosi performs the Canadian premi'e8re of Karl Jenkins'92 Euphonium Concerto and other euphonium show-pieces in concert with the Hannaford Street Silver Band all directed by Alain Trudel, Principal Guest Conductor of the HSSB.

Brass Masters takes place on Sunday, November 7th at 3:00 p.m. in the Jane Mallett Theatre, St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, 27 Front Street East, Toronto. Brass Masters is generously sponsored by SKF Canada Inc.



Brass Masters will feature the world premiere of a Wildfire, a new work for brass band by Canadian composer and tuba player Robert Teehan, one of the youngest composers ever nominated for a JUNO.

In addition to Euphonium Concerto by Karl Jenkins, David Childs will perform '91Neath Dublin Skies by Paul Lovatt-Cooper. The HSSB will perform Seize the Day by English composer Peter Graham and selections from The Planets by Gustav Holst.

Pre-concert chat at 2:15 p.m. with guest soloist David Childs, conductor Alain Trudel and composer Robert Teehan in the lobby of the Jane Malett Theatre.
