The 7th annual Brass Workshop day hosted by the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in collaboration with the Cory Band took place on July 6th and was once again a huge success.

The workshop day gives young musicians the opportunity to attend the RWCMD and receive expert tuition from Cory's principal players. The students of varying age and ability also have the opportunity to compete in the 'Champion of Tomorrow' solo contest - a prestigious event which this year was sponsored by Prima Vista Musikk, Trevada Music & Mr. Tuba.

This year's succesful day culminated in an early evening massed concert by the deligates, the winner of the solo competition, the RWCMD brass band and the Champion band of Europe - Cory.

A great day was had by all. Look out for next year's dates. If you're a young brass musician with a desire to improve and attend music college this is a day not to be missed!
