On Friday June 1st the BBC Concert Orchestra under the direction of Roderick Dunk will be giving a concert for BBC's 'Friday Night is Music Night' at The Mermaid, London. Joining them will be presenter Aled Jones, soprano Annette Wardell, baritone Jonathan Gunthorpe, jazz singer Joe Stilgoe, and euphonium soloist David Childs.

The concert will be recorded live and broadcast on July 13th. David's solo items with the orchestra will include his own arrangements of Monti's Czardas and Parry's Myfanwy, together with Peter Graham's popular Brillante and an arrangement of Karl Jenkins' Benedictus from the Armed Man: A Mass for Peace made especially for David by the composer. Orchestral items will include Rimsky Korsakov's Capriccio Espagnol.
