He gave the world premiere of the Concerto, at the Last Night of the Welsh Proms in 2009 with the BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Owain Arwel Hughes CBE.

Performances since the premiere have included a radio broadcast with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, a televised performance with Sinfonia Cymru, and further performances in Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Arizona and Hawaii. David also fulfilled a lifetime's ambition when he gave two performances of the Concerto in New York'92s Carnegie Hall earlier this year, the first of which was conducted by the composer who described David'92s performance as '93absolutely breathtaking'94!

In addition to featuring artists such as Nigel Kennedy and Katherine Jenkins, the recent Llangollen International Eisteddfod also showcased David with a performance of the Concerto during the Saturday night Gala Concert. Accompanied by Cory Band, and conducted by his father Robert, David performed to a capacity audience of over 2000 during the concert which was also recorded for broadcast on the Welsh television channel S4C.

Drawing inspiration from Evelyn Glennie and Christian Lindberg, who brought their chosen instruments out of the orchestra and onto the solo platform, David is a keen advocate of new music and has premiered seven concerti to date.

The future is just as exciting for David with a further performance of the Jenkins Concerto in Toronto with the acclaimed Hannaford Street Silver Band, and the first UK performance of Christian Lindberg'92s Concerto for Euphonium and Chamber Orchestra, with the composer conducting, at the opening of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama'92s new 'a320M concert hall.
