The National Brass Band Championships at the Royal Albert Hall is perhaps the most prestigious event in the brass band world, bringing the UK’s finest bands together in Kensington to perform in the iconic Royal Albert Hall.

At this year's event, on October 14th, David had the pleasure of ‘guesting’ as solo euphonium with the Woodfalls band, together with his sister, Lisa who played cornet, and his father, Robert who conducted. The band from the South West gave a superb performance of Howard Snell’s Gallery, which resonated with an appreciative audience.

David commented, “The first time I played in the Royal Albert Hall was 21 years ago with the City of Hull EYMS Band. I played baritone, my sister played cornet and my Dad was conducting! Having played there many times since, it was wonderful to revisit the venue and the contest in this way; sharing the stage with family really is something very special. It was a wonderful experience and the band played superbly.”
