On April 19th David Childs, together with the '91Euphor'92 euphonium quartet performed at the Centre Culturel Moutfort Luxembourg as part of the Heavy Metal Brass Festival. '91Euphor'92 are a superb quartet comprising of graduates from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff. The members are; Matthew Jenkins, Shoko Morimoto, Robert Fox & Helen Kinder '96 all of whom were taught by David during their time at the Welsh College.

David performed Philip Sparke'92s Harlequin with the Harmonie Moutfort-Medingen Wind Band under the direction of Artistic Director Jean-Jacques Bley. He also performed a couple of solos accompanied by Euphor including a special arrangement of Lovatt-Cooper'92s Donegal Bay and the fiendishly difficult Hot Canary!

Euphor performed their own set in the gala concert including David'92s arrangement of William Tell, Bulla'92s Celestial Suite and Smalley'92s Ball of Fire. David commented, '93It was great to sit back and listen to Euphor perform. They gave a tremendous show bringing the audience to their feet. I was proud to be there.'94

It wasn'92t all hard work out in Luxembourg though! Take a look at the gallery below to see what else the musicians got up to on tour!
