Schreiber and Keilwerth, the principal sponsor of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain, is to host clinics at the Lower Section Finals in Harrogate this weekend, led by its top endorsees David Childs and Owen Farr.

David and Owen will be on hand on the Sunday (28th) to give instrumentalists a spot of one-to-one help with their playing.

Those interested in taking advantage of this expert help should visit the York exhibition in the Foyer of Harrogate International Centre, where representatives of the Company will steward players to the clinics between 11.00am '96 1.00pm and 3.30 '96 5.30pm.

York is also sponsoring four mini-recitals at the end of each of the four sectional competitions, before the awards ceremonies.

On the Sunday, Owen Farr will dazzle the audience with a short recital after Section 1 and David Childs will give a short recital after Section 2. On Saturday Angelo Bearpark, will give a recital after Section 4 and the British Army Band will entertain the audience after Section 3.

Together with pianist John Wilson, David will perform a few light numbers including Alven'92s virtuosic Valflickansdans & Paul Nero'92s Hot Canary.

York heralds the 'Finals' as the most famous and glamorous brass band contest in the world. Andreas Gafke, Sales and Marketing Director of York told 4BR: "The 'National' is a great opportunity to further enhance York's close connection with the British brass band scene. We would also like to wish all participating bands a successful preparation for the 'Finals' and we look forward to meeting them at their respective 'Final' events."
