The BBW Solo CD of the Year has become quite a prestigious award with past recipients including trumpet star Alison Balsom. This year the esteemed panel of judges were totally unanimous in awarding the 2010 title to '91Moto Perpetuo'92 featuring David Childs and the Cory Band. The CD has been a success amongst music enthusiasts around the globe and features the first brass band recording of Karl Jenkins'92 Concerto for Euphonium.



David Childs commented, '93Having looked back at past recipients of BBW'92s Solo CD of the Year '91Moto Perpetuo'92 is in great company in receiving this year'92s award. I'92d like to pay tribute to Karl Jenkins and the other composers featured on the disc, Cory and my father for their outstanding contribution, and all involved in the production of the CD. I had a great time performing on the sessions and I'92m delighted and honoured to be a part of this prestigious award.'94
