Jewels cover

The new disc from Eminence Brass follows on from their 'debut' release, 'TRIBUTE' and features an eclectic collection of repertoire including classical transcriptions, original commissions, beautiful melodies and virtuoso solo showpieces from all four members of the ensemble.

The World of Brass launch was hosted by the International Brass Band Summer School & supported by Besson Musical Instruments. Following the launch performance the new disc 'sold out' within 30 minutes!

Respected musician Brian Buckley attended the launch and wrote;

"Amidst great anticipation from the Tutorial Staff and Delegates of the 2012 International Brass Band Summer School in the picturesque surroundings of Swansea University, the rare gems that comprise the renowned foursome - EMINENCE BRASS; namely - David Childs; Philip Cobb; Owen Farr and Richard Marshall (in strictly alphabetical order) launched their eagerly awaited second CD, the launch taking the form of a scintillating recital featuring a carefully selected series of tracks from the CD.

For those present at this exhibition of brass playing at the very pinnacle of achievement this was a special privilege only rarely available to the grass-roots brass playing fraternity!!

Immaculate personal presentation served only to highlight the quality and stylistic range of music that is featured on this disc. Technically flawless and musically supreme, the choice of music played during the launch sparkled with an intensity that craved for more, more and yes, More again!

Little wonder there was unbounded enthusiasm to purchase this brand new disc at the conclusion of the highly effective launch.

I eagerly await the opportunity to listen to the entire CD from the comfort of my favourite chair before writing a review of what promises to be a disc that demands constant compulsive listening. Especially the title track-Jewels!!!"
