On Saturday 10th Sptember 2005 the famous 'Last Night of Proms' will be broadcast live from the Royal Albert Hall.

During this concert Paul Daniel will lead the BBC Symphony Orchestra in music reflecting this year's nautical theme, including Walton's Portsmouth Point Overture and Lambert's Rio Grande. During the interval there will be highlights from Proms in the Park events in London, Manchester, Swansea, Belfast and Glasgow.

The televised highlight from Manchester's Prom will be David's performance of 'Carnival of Venice'. This will be aired on BBC2 during the interval of the 'Last Night' in the Royal Albert Hall programme.

At 9.15 the the Proms Programme will switch from BBC2 to BBC1. For those with interactive television, it will be possible to watch the entire Proms in the Park from Manchester which will also feature David playing Morricone's 'Gabriel's Oboe' and Rimsky Korsakov's 'Flight of the Bumble Bee'.
