David Childs is a not only a performing artist for Shreiber Keilwerth'92s York brand, but also a consultant in relation to the research and development of their euphonium range. David currently performs using a York Eminence 4052 professional model, an instrument he, together with other eminent euphonium players designed.

The Messe Frankfurt (Frankfurt Fair) gives manufacturers around the globe a chance to exhibit their products and the Eminence 4052 was just one of the many superb brass instruments York had on show at this year'92s event.

Throughout the year, the Frankfurt Messe serves as a meeting place for over 4 million visitors. David was one of those visitors and commented;

'93I was delighted to visit the Frankfurt Fair at the invitation of my sponsors, York musical instruments. I'92ve never seen so many musical instruments under one roof and was overwhelmed by the interest shown in the company'92s new range of brass instruments. The Keilwerth Shadow Saxophone generated a great deal of interest, as did the Schreiber Bassoon range, but none so much as the York Eminence series. There is no question York instruments give performers the opportunity to create the sound they desire, but the incredible German craftsmanship and attention to detail seemed to be the talking point for most traders I spoke with.'94

York musical instruments were exhibited at the Messe Frankfurt during 12th-14th March and are likely to be on show again during the same period next year.
